Mollie has quickly built a thriving business creating successful, stylish, to-the-point communications for a diverse client list that includes the Kentucky Council on Economic Education (KCEE), Knight Ridder Publications, Creative Endeavors, Chrisman Mill Winery and Vineyards, and the Jessamine County Fiscal Court.
Ms. McClure’s background in education and corporate settings means she is well-prepared to address her client’s targeted marketing and communications needs, combining a strong understanding of business goals and the writing skills to express them effectively. Mollie first put her innovative writing style and creative thinking skills to work professionally as a creative writing and composition instructor at the University of Kentucky, where she earned her Master’s Degree. Next Mollie accepted a position as the creative writing, journalism, and English instructor at a private high school in Lexington. There she combined her gift for successful communication and her unique understanding of the importance of marketing to revamp the school’s failing journalism program. Mollie led her 25-student staff to a total of eight 1st place journalism awards in state competition and helped them take in record-setting profits with school newspaper and yearbook advertising.
Mollie threw her cap into the business arena when she accepted a position as a corporate writer and analyst at Long John Silver’s, a division of the multi-billion dollar YUM! Brands Corporation. Rejuvenating several of the company’s communications, including a weekly bulletin board, monthly eight-page newsletter, and numerous training and marketing pieces, was no easy task, but Ms. McClure approached it with the same creativity, determination, and “style” that she lends to any project. In doing so, she created results that gained the respect and appreciation of top company executives, who praised her work as “outstanding” and “a real asset to our company’s communications.”
When Long John Silver’s moved operations to Louisville, Mollie declined an offer to move with them. Instead, she decided it was time to harness her passion for writing and design to form Red Hat Creative Services. Mollie McClure’s unique combination of creative talent and business savvy increases the success and profits of every project she tackles, causing her to stand heads above the crowd of other copy writing, advertising, and marketing professionals.
